CÉSAR MENÉNDEZ
César Menéndez , einer der bedeutendsten Künstler Lateinamerikas, lebt und kreiert in El Salvador von seiner Residenz außerhalb der Hauptstadt San Salvador. Seine erste Einzelausstellung hatte er 1976 bei der Banco Atlacatl in San Salvador. Seine surrealen Gemälde thematisieren magischen Realismus, Liebe und Sehnsucht, Szenen aus den spirituellen Welten, Triumphe und Konflikte des Geistes und der Gesellschaft. Menéndez wurde 1994 von der französischen Regierung zum Ritter des Ordens der Künste ernannt.
Zu seinen Gruppenausstellungen gehören: 2002, Los Angeles Art Show, LA, Kalifornien; 2000, Art Miami; 1999, "Hommage an den Bleistift", José Luis Cuevas Museum, Mexiko-Stadt; Kunst Miami; Sotheby's Lateinamerika-Auktion, New York; "Lateinamerikanisches Spektrum", Galerie Espacio, San Salvador, El Salvador; 1998, Sotheby's Lateinamerika-Auktion, New York; Gary Nader Lateinamerika-Auktion, Miami; "Anthologie des Friedens", Anfora Nova Space, Madrid, Spanien. Seine Arbeiten befinden sich in Museen und Privatsammlungen auf der ganzen Welt.
